MI guitar is a digital guitar that is designed by a Juilliard-trained musician. This guitar mixes technology and tradition perfectly. MI guitar gives beginners the opportunity of a quick and satisfying way to play their favourite songs thanks to its technology of “dual-play modes”.
It is possible to switch between magic and traditional modes by a single button. Magic mode allows you to play the chords by only one finger, whilst traditional mode provides the traditional guitar chord fingering experience.
By a built-in speaker with volume control, MI guitar can be set to play to a crowd or around a campfire. There is a range of on-board guitar sounds from acoustics to electrics that can be used. One of the most practical features of MI guitar is its six velocity-sensitive strings. These strings allows the player to achieve the expressive sound and they do not need to be tuned or changed, meaning efficient time and money consumption.
MI guitar is accompanied with a mobile application that offers a wide range library of the most popular or hit songs for playing and singing along instantly. The application is compatible with both iOS and Android systems.
Apart from these features; six guitar sounds, two bass guitar sounds and two very frequently used sound effects on altering the guitar sound (reverb and chorus) are included, as sounds can also be outputted via 1/4″, 1/8″ and USB cables. The MI guitar can be set to any key and scale you want to play in and it gives you one-finger access to the most commonly played chords in that key and scale. Last year, Magic Instruments focused on effective advertisement of MI guitar. One of the outcomes of this work on advertisement has been the agreement between the company and Muse main-man Matt Bellamy. This agreement made Bellamy the MI guitar ambassador. Normally, the MI guitar was available for purchase from the IndieGoGo website and it was costing $499. However, USA-based Magic Instrument stopped the production of MI guitar for more improvement, as it’s a prototype and it has had a lot of refund requests.
